Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take digital radiographs and accurate dental impressions
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation (certification required)
- Maintain precise digital charting and patient records
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and technology
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant License (RDA or EFDA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CDA certification or DANB radiology/ICE credentials
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft practice management software
- Strong understanding of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- CPR/BLS certification
