Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Execute precise dental radiography and digital imaging with advanced X-ray technology
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of dental instruments exceeding OSHA standards
- Oversee patient scheduling, treatment planning coordination, and insurance verification processes
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft practice management software
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinical workflows and office protocols
- Contribute to quarterly practice growth initiatives through patient experience optimization
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant license and radiography certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general dentistry with advanced procedures
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or DALE certification preferred
- Expertise in digital radiography (CBCT, intraoral cameras) and CAD/CAM workflows
- Proven track record in patient education and anxiety management techniques
- Advanced knowledge of dental materials, instruments, and clinical procedures
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or comparable dental management software
