Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery
- Take digital radiographs and accurate dental impressions
- Manage patient flow and scheduling coordination
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain compliance
- Chart patient records using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
- Provide chairside assistance and post-operative care instructions
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general/surgical dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and impression techniques
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Valid Arizona dental radiography permit preferred
