Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage patient flow and prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and equipment
- Capture and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with precision
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide oxide under dentist supervision
- Execute digital charting and practice management software (Epic/Dentrix)
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification (DALEF/CDA)
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification and radiology license
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient rapport-building
- Strong attention to detail in sterilization protocols
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Missouri dental radiography license required
