Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic applications
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain digital records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control standards
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas state radiography permit
