Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort during treatments
- Assist dentists with chairside operations including instrument handling and suction
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all dental instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records and update digital charts accurately
- Order and inventory dental supplies while controlling costs
- Provide post-procedure care instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and BLS training preferred
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
