Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and four-handed dentistry
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of dental equipment
- Take accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and develop diagnostic images
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain precise digital charting and documentation using Dentrix software
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Dental Assistant Radiographer (DAR) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or equivalent; Dental Assistant program graduate preferred
