Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and extractions
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using digital software like Dentrix Eaglesoft
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and inventory management
- Ensure strict OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or EFDA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Experience with dental practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient comfort
