Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials
- Take digital dental impressions and X-rays following safety protocols
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate treatment scheduling and insurance verification
- Maintain immaculate sterilization and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Tennessee dental radiography license preferred
