Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, extractions, and restorations
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Order and inventory dental supplies while maintaining a clean organized workspace
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Valid CPR certification and willingness to obtain required state licenses
