Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and clinical readiness
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Take digital dental radiographs and perform accurate charting
- Order inventory and manage clinic supplies efficiently
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Schedule appointments and coordinate treatment coordination with specialists
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
