Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect lab specimens
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain exam rooms
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Maryland MA license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask efficiently
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
