Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic flow efficiently
- Stock exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- North Carolina MA license in good standing
