Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Assist pharmacists in compounding and sterile preparations
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Nevada Pharmacy Technician license (active)
- PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication interactions and side effects
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
