Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine urgency of care
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop appropriate care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide education to patients regarding home care and follow-up procedures
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Manage patient flow during peak hours to ensure efficient department operations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
