Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Greet patients, verify identification, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and compliance.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens to the laboratory accurately and promptly.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and laboratory safety protocols at all times.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and restock as needed to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: None required. On-the-job training provided for candidates with a strong willingness to learn.
- Skills: Basic math skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Personality: Professional, compassionate, and excellent customer service skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Certification: BLS certification is a plus but not mandatory for application.
