Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking vital signs and medical histories
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage digital X-rays and intraoral imaging systems
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide chairside assistance during complex dental procedures
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license (Louisiana)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
