Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide chairside assistance and patient comfort measures
- Order inventory and manage supply organization
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexibility with scheduling (evenings/weekends required)
- Attention to detail and infection control expertise
