Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and ensuring sterile environment.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Monitor patient vitals and maintain accurate medical records during surgery.
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, nurses, and physicians.
- Respond immediately to surgeon requests and manage unexpected situations.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under high-pressure situations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment as needed.
