Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient flow and ensure seamless appointment scheduling
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA status
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (part-time schedule)
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
