Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and document client observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation
- Manage medication reminders and light housekeeping duties
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Maintain detailed care plans and communicate with family/care team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months home health aide experience preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Compassionate demeanor with patience for elderly/disabled clients
- Clear background check and drug screening required
- Strong communication and time management skills
