Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and package medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Assist in the preparation of sterile compounding and other specialized pharmaceutical tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
