Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve claim denials
- Communicate professionally with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly revenue reports for department heads
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
