Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain inventory levels and conduct stock audits
- Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds in compliance with USP 797
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for order processing
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems
- Strong attention to detail and math skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Basic knowledge of compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
