Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and manage surgical equipment inventory
- Monitor patient vital signs and document procedural outcomes accurately
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission safety protocols
- Coordinate with anesthesia teams and nursing staff for seamless case flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience in OR setting
- Graduation from accredited surgical technology program
- BLS/CPR certification with current provider status
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument management
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and on-call
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional teamwork skills
