Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in various clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records accurately
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans
- Adhere to hospital protocols, state regulations, and JCAHO standards
- Maintain flexible availability to cover varied shift schedules (day, night, weekend)
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (additional certifications per unit)
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
- Flexibility to adapt to new environments and protocols
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
