Responsibilities
- Provide specialized patient care in diverse clinical settings across Pittsburgh's leading hospitals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records
- Adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit dynamics
- Mentor staff nurses on innovative care techniques and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS/NRP preferred)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills
- Excellent communication abilities across diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation
