Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Provide clinical guidance to patients via phone triage and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems with attention to detail
- Monitor and analyze patient flow metrics to optimize department efficiency
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and emergency department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 3 years emergency/trauma nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems preferred
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
