Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage to determine urgency
- Provide accurate medical guidance and education to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for critical case escalations
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Implement infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years emergency or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
