Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments via telehealth and in-person triage to determine medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans and coordinate interventions
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear patient education on home care instructions and follow-up protocols
- Oversee bed allocation and resource management during high-volume periods
- Maintain quality metrics through continuous process improvement initiatives
- Participate in emergency response drills and departmental training programs
Qualifications
- Active VA RN license with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification with current TNCC preferred
- Proficiency in telephone triage protocols and emergency assessment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize cases in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Exceptional communication skills with multilingual abilities a plus
- Strong documentation skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
