Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical areas with precision and compassion
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and facility-specific regulations
- Maintain accurate shift handovers and communication with oncoming staff
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license with quick endorsement process)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in relevant specialty
- BLS certification with current ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC, Cerner, Meditech)
- Flexibility to work 8, 12, or 16-hour shifts across weekdays/weekends
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills
