Responsibilities
- Accurately perform patient intake, vitals assessment, and medical history documentation.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections under strict supervision.
- Process laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate patient discharge plans and follow-up appointments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
