Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care.
- Document patient medical history and symptoms, and update care plans accordingly.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and patient requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Valid and unencumbered RN license to practice in Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN).
- CPR (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment.
