Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on acuity
- Provide clinical guidance to patients via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Accurately document patient encounters in EMR systems
- Manage patient flow and department resource allocation
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and resources
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and NC Board of Nursing standards
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficient in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
