Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Count surgical items before/after procedures to ensure compliance
- Transport patients and equipment safely within surgical departments
- Stock and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedural activities and inventory accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital OR experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Current BLS certification
