Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person to determine care urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans and interventions
- Document patient interactions accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and families
- Coordinate patient transfers between departments and facilities
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (compact license acceptable)
- BSN or Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and assessment abilities
- Strong communication skills in diverse healthcare settings
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
