Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on acuity
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary care teams for seamless patient flow
- Maintain inventory of emergency department supplies and equipment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Triage certification (ENPC or TNCC) highly desirable
