Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and triage systems to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care plans
- Document assessments accurately in EMR systems with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients regarding care instructions and next steps
- Maintain crisis intervention protocols for emergency situations
- Support patient flow optimization in emergency and urgent care settings
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Previous triage or emergency department background strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC experience a plus)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments
