Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone or secure messaging platforms to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Provide accurate medical advice, triage symptoms, and recommend appropriate next steps for treatment or referral.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical findings into electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Educate patients on preventative health measures and chronic disease management strategies.
- Manage incoming patient inquiries with empathy, professionalism, and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with specific preference for triage, urgent care, or telehealth experience.
- Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (MSN) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to de-escalate patient concerns.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
