As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support to elderly clients in the comfort of their own homes. We are looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys making a positive difference in the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to combat loneliness.
- Remind clients of medication schedules and accompany them to medical appointments.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse immediately.
- Accompany clients on community outings and errands to ensure safety and engagement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging care notes.
