Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, health observations, and care delivery
- Assist residents with nutritional needs and mealtime support
- Facilitate therapeutic social and recreational activities
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Collaborate effectively with RNs and interdisciplinary care teams
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active DC CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year long-term care or hospital experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficient in electronic health record documentation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid DC driver's license preferred for transportation duties
- Clear criminal background check and TB screening
