Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist the nursing staff with treatment procedures and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient care plans and update medical records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs.
- CPR certification is required.
