Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vitals: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Patient Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to maintain dignity and hygiene.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and administration as directed by licensed nurses.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient updates and concerns to the nursing team and physicians.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Florida State CNA license required.
- Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
