Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance (ADLs).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients as needed.
