Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper infection control protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Delieve patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate patient scheduling and assist with front desk operations
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification in California
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage patient anxiety
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
