Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens and equipment decontamination
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical workflows
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of scrub tech experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification and current California license
- Experience with laparoscopic and robotic surgical systems
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
