Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs accurately
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain digital records
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply inventory
- Assist with front desk duties when needed
Qualifications
- Current New York State Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental imaging software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with focus on patient comfort
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in infection control protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
