Responsibilities
- Dispense and compound medications with precision and efficiency
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with pharmacists on patient care protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with FDA and DEA regulations
- Operate automated dispensing technology and IV admixture systems
- Process insurance claims and manage billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
