Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral photography with precision
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of all instruments/equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and dental trays for seamless clinical workflows
- Deliver patient education on post-op care and preventive dentistry
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and charting
- Coordinate with insurance providers and handle administrative tasks efficiently
Qualifications
- Active DANB/CODA certification or accredited dental assisting program graduate
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging (X-rays, intraoral cameras)
- CPR/BLS certification current or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Exceptional chairside communication and patient rapport skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software preferred
