Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments per OSHA/CDC guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring (certification preferred)
- Manage patient records, inventory, and supply ordering using Dentrix software
Qualifications
- Current California RDA license or eligible to obtain immediately
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience in general dentistry
- Certification in radiography and infection control (DALEF preferred)
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
